Walter Orellana is a Latine photographer based in Jersey City, New Jersey, whose work delves into the realm of existentialism within landscapes. Orellana's photography captures the nuanced relationship between humanity and environment, showcasing the slow impact of humans through capitalism.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Orellana developed a deep appreciation for the diverse American landscapes that would later become central themes in his photography. He pursued his perspective by earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Photography from New Jersey City University (NJCU).
Central to Orellana's work is the exploration of existential themes within the context of everyday Eastern American settings and Romanticism. Through his lens, he captures moments that transcend the mundane, inviting viewers to reflect on the interplay between identity, environment, and emotions.  His compositions often evoke a sense of solitude, juxtaposing human presence with expansive spaces that evoke contemplation.
